Muhyiddin Yassin Is A Liar

Cap Bunga president Muhyiddin Yassin is a liar and misleads the parliament in his budget speech. He should also be cited for contempt.

I give you just 5 examples.

1. He keeps mentioning 1MDB's debt is RM53 billion. At the same time, Shafie Apdal said 1MDB sold 60% of Bandar Malaysia to China (wrong, it's actually 24%) and Mahathir says 1MDB sold all those power plants to China.

So after selling these, it is still RM53 billion? The Edge did not report this thus Muhyiddin doesn't know?
No. It is RM20+ billion of long-term debts that govt where none of them is due yet. 1MDB has already worked out the repayment schedule for the 30 years RM5b and 10 years USD3b of bonds while the USD3.5b of bonds guaranteed by IPIC is under arbitration and should be resolved soon. Govt has not bailed out 1MDB at all.

Therefore, Muhyiddin is lying in parliament and should be called out as a liar in Parliament for still citing RM53 billion when it is clearly not.

2. He says that " Based on a study done on the Annual Report of the Auditor-General, the government suffered losses of between RM23 billion and RM40 billion a year due to weaknesses in enforcement, widespread corruption and malpractices."

Which study is this? Who did this unnamed study? Is it Pakatan Harapan who keeps saying they can reduce 10% of govt spending in bajet 2016 by eliminating corruption and wastage and then suddenly says they can reduce 25% in 2017?

If Muhyiddin cannot cite this study and show us his assumptions and calculations then he should be cited for misleading parliament.

3. Muhyiddin says he blocked the RM3 billion loan to 1MDB in cabinet because it was for paying interest. This is again wrong. The money was to help develop TRX and more critically, the Jimah East power plant. And since, Muhyiddin blocked it, 1MDB had to sell Jimah East at a loss to TNB. Successfully developing Jimah East would have brought much profits to 1MDB but Muhyiddin has sabotaged this.

Muhyiddin lied about the use of funds of the RM3 billion. Cabinet papers should show what is the purpose of funds. He should be cited for lying.

4. Muhyiddin said that based on "Economic experts" , the value of the Ringgit should not be lower than RM3.50 to USD1 despite oil price slump and that if Ringgit is weaker than this, then this is due to 1MDB sentiments.

Okay.. let's go back in history to 2nd Jan 2015 - before all the 1MDB issues exploded. On that day already, the Ringgit was at RM3.51 - higher than your unnamed "experts".

In fact, since then till today, the Ringgit had fallen 19.37% while in the same period, the Euro had fallen 24.66% against the USD. Similar oil producing countries such as Uzbekistan (26.09% fall) and Kazakstan (down 80%) did worse.

Muhyiddin does not seem to understand that on top of the slumping oil prices, the US Dollar had gained much strength since that time due to them raising interest rates.

In fact, the Ringgit is only 12% down from the RM3.73 level it was when Najib took over.

Besides, Muhyiddin should also ask his Chairman why Najib cannot similiarly do a Mahathir and peg the Ringgit at RM3.80. You mean Mahathir can do but Najib cannot? It's because artificially pegging the Ringgit while the other countries currency also weakened would mean eroding our competitiveness and hurting foreign investments.

Muhyiddin should be cited for lying and not understanding economics and depending on unnamed economic experts.

5. Muhyiddin said that "When our ringgit was attacked in 1997, our international reserves at that time were still strong, "
Hello. Our reserves were weak at USD20 billion at that time - no thanks to Mahathir gambling and losing RM30 billion on FOREX just a few years before.

(FYI, right now our FOREX reserves is USD97 billion-still higher than when Najib took over in 2009).

If our reserves were strong, you think our Ringgit would have been attacked? If our reserves were strong and thus able to defend ourselves, would our Ringgit had collapsed from RM2.50 to RM4.80 within months?

What logic you?

And this fella was our Education Minister?

Muhyiddin should be cited for general stupidity in Parliament and be barred forever from ever being Education Minister.
In fact, he should be banned from being a teacher in any of the govt schools.

No wonder Khairuddin bailed out from your party the next day after you gave your speech in Parliament.
